We are looking for two full time leisure attendants to work in our vibrant town centre leisure facility within Darlington. The facility that the successful candidates will be based at is the Dolphin Leisure Centre.

The successful candidates will work 37 hours per week and would work as part of a full time shift pattern alongside the other full time leisure attendants. The shifts that make up the shift pattern are predominantly earlies, lates and weekends.

All candidates must possess a valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification, excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills and also have a willingness to develop. It is imperative that the successful candidate also has excellent time management skills and can work as an individual or within a team.

Candidates must also have the confidence to be able to assist with the implementation of emergency procedures and operational plans where appropriate, e.g. evacuation and drowning.

Staff must attend regular staff training (once every 3 weeks) in order to keep up the validation of their NPLQ. This will be part of your contractual obligation

Maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers to carry out their leisure activity is a critical part of the role. The successful candidate must ensure that cleaning is completed to the agreed standards within the time allocated.

Candidates will be required to set up equipment in all of all the activity areas, ensuring that the correct timing of bookings is implemented and safe systems of work are followed.
