The Head Teacher and Governors wish to appoint a motivated and committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils in UKS2. The successful candidate will also be required to support within the classroom and be able to take small groups of pupils for intervention work. Experience with UKS2 would be an advantage as would managing children with more challenging behaviour.

We are looking for a good team player who is able to work well as part of a supportive staff, as well as having an ability to foster excellent working relationships with children.

Other desirable previous experience would include working in a primary school environment, working previously with this age group, knowledge of Y5/Y6 curriculum and supporting pupils in small focus-group situations.

We take pride in our church school ethos which Ofsted said ‘promotes a sense of community and contributes well to pupils’ personal development and good behaviour’. Our school environment is a very caring, nurturing one and we value and celebrate the achievements of every child. Any applicant must be able to fully support our Church school ethos.

Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Mrs Faye Hutt or Mrs Sandie Strachan, in our School Office, to make an appointment.

The school is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

Application forms and further details are available from the school office and should be returned to the school
