Nexus is looking to appoint a Chargehand to join the Civils & Rail department within Infrastructure Delivery.
You will carry out various tasks from vegetation clearance, troughing installation/cleaning, painting, installation of cable tray and any other work tasks of a similar nature.
You will manage and supervise staff in the team and allocate/arrange planned work for the team.
Shift work including weekend working is required for this role, as is participation in a standby and callout roster.
You will be able to demonstrate experience/competence in civils and/or rail work processes.
You will have a good working knowledge of Health & safety practices in the workplace. A current UK driving licence is essential.
Experience with hand/power tools/small plant is essential, as are leadership skills/qualities.
It is desirable that you have experience of working in a Railway environment.
