Further Information
Things are happening and changing at pace here in Children’s Services in Stockton on Tees. There’s lots going on and we have come a long way. We’re seeking ambitious, hardworking and innovative people to join our team.

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced professional to the role of Recruitment & Marketing Officer – Fostering and Supported Lodgings. The Family Placement Team is expanding and recent investment into the team has strengthened capacity, in an already highly regarded and experienced team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of a fostering and supported lodgings recruitment strategy that is designed to increase the range and number of good quality family placements available to those children and young people who need them.

Previous experience of delivering integrated communications campaigns that produce measurable results is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be flexible, driven and motivated to increase placement capacity.

Our foster carers and supported lodgings providers are highly valued here in Stockton on Tees and we are looking for a professional who shares this ethos, who is responsive and engaging.

This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to hold children and young people at the centre of everything that we do and reinforce our commitment to embedding relationship -based practice.

We recognise that we will promote the best outcomes for children by focusing on relationships with and within families, and also with each other as a staff team and with our multi-agency partners.

We’re revising our workforce strategy to support this and investing in additional resources to create manageable workloads, with an emphasis on working together in a supportive team environment.

We are expanding our social work teams, introducing new team structures and expanding our help and support (early help) offer, making up an extensive offer to families across Children’s Services.

We’ll support you to flourish and be the best you can, delivering high-quality services and working closely with professionals from a range of agencies to improve the lived experience of children.

We offer agile working, with flexible and family friendly policies, that have a work/life balance at their core, plus lots, lots more…as you can see below.

It’s rewarding
• Competitive salary to match your expertise (Pay Award pending)
• 26-31 days of annual leave (depending on length of service), plus an annual leave purchase scheme
• Excellent local government pension scheme

And we’ll support you
• Great tech to keep you connected
• Family friendly policies
• Access to free health and wellbeing services
• Leisure discounts
• Bus and train discounts, cycle to work scheme
• Supportive management and leadership
• A wide range of learning and development opportunities
• . …And much much more!
