One Excellence Multi Academy Trust is a Multi Academy Trust made up of four schools. The Trust was founded in July 2017, and is a mixed Multi Academy Trust. The vision and rationale behind the wider partnership are based on shared values and aspirations, a strong sense of community identity and values of inclusion and aspiration for all.

One Excellence Multi Academy Trust believes in supporting and investing in its staff and has a structured health and well-being programme. The programme includes physiotherapy, nurse support service and drop-in clinic, counselling, mindfulness sessions, weight management, stress awareness, GP consultations and private medical operations if required. We are also keen for staff to be able to reach their full potential and offer a range of professional development opportunities in all areas of education, nurturing and leadership.

We are a supportive and caring mainstream primary school in Stockton that welcomes all children. We have a popular and inviting 65 place nursery that offers both 15 and 30 hours places, as well as wrap around care. Providing our children with the best possible start in education is at the heart of everything we do. Communication language and literacy underpins our enabling curriculum which provides children with opportunities and experiences which to help them, grow in confidence, develop key skills and flourish. We have a purpose built, nurturing setting that offers quality continuous provision, with dedicated and experienced practitioners creating a learning environment, in which all our learners thrive. We are looking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic, and resilient EYFS practitioner who has experience of working with children of EYFS age. This person will have experience of teaching the EYFS framework, as well as sound safeguarding knowledge. The candidate should be a team player with a positive attitude.

The successful candidate will teach in nursery two and a half days and do PPA cover in reception one day a week. Both the nursery and reception team work closely together, the successful candidate should therefore be a flexible, effective communicator.

Purpose:

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the duties of a teacher in accordance with the Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and other relevant statutory provisions, and to carry out other such associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Head teacher.

Teacher will be responsible for:

• To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils, incorporating the areas of learning for Early Years Foundation Stage in line with the policies of the school.

• Co-operation and close liaison with parents and guardians, professionals within Early Years Foundation Stage and the wider school, including fellow staff and colleagues from external agencies.

• Motivating and stimulating children’s learning abilities, encouraging learning through experience

• Managing the team of TAs and volunteers within the Nursery Setting with support of the Nursery Manager and EYFS Trust lead.

Generic responsibilities:

• To be part of a team to plan, prepare and evaluate all aspects of EYFS provision;

• Providing pastoral care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment in which to learn;

• Working with others and contributing to the strong and experienced team ethos of the school.

• Attending all training and relevant CPD;

• Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures

• Ensuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery/school.

The post holder may reasonably be expected to undertake other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility that may be allocated from time to time.

Disclosure:

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
