We are seeking to recruit a part-time Business Rates Officer to join our busy Business Rates Team, within the Revenues, Benefits & Welfare Service.

The postholder will be someone who is enthusiastic, conscientious and hard-working, with excellent organisational and IT skills.

This is an interesting and varied role and responsibilities will include determining business rates liability, updating and monitoring business rates account and liaising with customers in writing and by telephone.

The postholder must be a team player who can work accurately whilst focusing on priorities and achieving targets. Strong customer service and communication skills are also required, with the ability to deal with matters effectively in challenging and sensitive situations.
