Social Work - Children Service
Things are happening and changing at pace here in Children’s Services in Stockton-on-Tees. There’s lots going on and we have come a long way. We’re seeking ambitious, hardworking and innovative people to join our team.
We are looking for social workers who enjoy a faster pace and time-limited case work. You will be responsible for the gathering and analysis of information so that an appropriate and informed response can be made to children in need of support and protection.
The team undertakes children and family single assessments, section 47 enquiries and covers all aspects of social work planning, up until the appropriate transfer point to one of our fieldwork social work teams.
Alongside the assessment process, children and families in Stockton-on-Tees have timely access to a range of other support services, including a considerable youth and families offer. Good admin support is available.
A market forces supplement of 15% salary (paid on a monthly basis) currently applies to this post (grade K – M). Market Forces supplements are subject to review.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work a percentage of their working time away from the office.
We anticipate appointing qualified Social Workers who have already completed AYSE (Grades K-M) due to the skills mix required in the team.
