Further Information
Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council prides itself on being a great place to work where staff are trusted, valued and supported to make a positive contribution at work.

Within the Learning and Skills Service we are driven and committed to support Stockton-on-Tees residents and businesses to meet their full economic potential whilst increasing opportunities, prosperity, wellbeing and cohesion in the communities we serve. We have a very clear mission to create a brighter future for all.

Ofsted (2023) judged the service as being a ‘good’ learning provider and we now strive to become recognised as outstanding in all that we do.

Plans are in place to broaden and strengthen our apprenticeship offer and we are seeking to appoint motivated and talented Tutor/Assessors to plan, teach and assess apprenticeship programmes.

We are keen to recruit individuals with experience of delivering apprenticeships in Business Administration and Customer Service. If you are able to teach and assess apprenticeship standards and are looking for an opportunity to join our team we would love to hear from you.

The contracted hours for these posts are from a minimum of 18.5 hours to a maximum of 37 hours per week. You will be asked at interview about your preferred hours per week.

Successfully appointed candidates will spend 80% of their working time completing Assessor responsibilities paid at Grade H (Range: £13.17 - £13.91 per hour) and 20% of their working time completing Tutor responsibilities paid at Grade I (Range £14.44 – £15.26 per hour). Further detail on this will be provided at interview.

We offer an excellent total reward package including a competitive salary, generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.

If you would like an informal discussion about the post, please contact Hayley Moutrey, Apprenticeship Coordinator on 01642 527153.

Please ensure you refer to the Job Description and the essential and desirable criteria in the Person Specification when completing the Personal Statement on the application form, as this information is used to select candidates for interview.

This post is subject to a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is not a UKVI Sponsor therefore we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
