Things are happening and changing at pace here in Children’s Services in Stockton-on-Tees. There’s lots going on and we have come a long way. We’re seeking ambitious, hardworking and innovative people to join our team.

This is an exciting time to join us as we continue to hold children at the centre of everything that we do and reinforce our commitment to embedding relationship -based practice.

The post is based in the heart of our community within our Family Hub.
We strive to empower families to be the best they can be in Stockton. If you have both drive and passion in supporting families to succeed we want to hear from you.

An FGC is a family led meeting in which a child’s wider family support network comes together to make their own plans about future arrangements for the child. FGC draws on the families’ strengths and personal knowledge of their situation to resolve difficulties.
The role of the practitioner will involve co-ordination of FGC meetings, including preparation work with children, parents, carers and their network. This allows the practitioner to understand the aims for the family. The practitioner will be responsible for chairing family meetings to draw together a family plan will ensure that the child’s safety and well-being is promoted.
