Adults and Integrated Care Services

£54,707 pa

Do you have experience or a passion for:

  • Promoting independence
  • Telecare
  • Improving safety
  • Increasing social contact

You may have a background in the care industry, whether that be managing the delivery of care, as a Trusted Assessor for care or, a Social Worker, an Occupational Therapist or in Technology Enabled Care itself.

If so we are looking for a creative mind with an understanding of Social Care and a drive for making a difference for people to be our Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Lead.

In this unique role the TEC Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy which will allow us to harness the positive impact of digital technology which enables independent living, provide greater choice and control, and optimise a person’s outcomes whilst reducing the demand for other traditional forms of care and support.

The role will provide the opportunity to harness and fully exploit the full benefits of Technology Enabled Care and help the Authority to understand its longer-term requirements for the provision of support to the people of South Tyneside. The TEC Lead will use the learning from the current approach and work with partners to establish a new Technology Enabled Care framework.

The TEC Lead will be responsible for ensuring that there is a change in approach relating to how people are informed of, assessed for and access TEC across all of the social care pathway, flexibility on what is available to meet people’s outcomes and utilising data to help shape future approaches and any cycles of improvement.

The TEC Lead will have a strong organisational role - working collaboratively with practitioners across Adult Social Care, Health and other partners to embed the use of mainstream technology to empower and support people to achieve the outcomes they want and support demand.

We want our TEC Service to stand out from the crowd and embrace new digital and technological solutions because we believe that technology should be better integrated into care and support packages.

If you are talented, innovative and can drive real change we want to hear from you.
