"South Tyneside is a fantastic place to be with passionate people, who really care about each other; great partnership working as part of our South Tyneside Alliance; some amazing services and a real sense of community spirit". If this sounds like the right working environment for your next career move, then come and join us in Adults and Integrated Care.

Connecting people to their community, family and friends is a key occupational aspect of our work.  We are therefore looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapy Practitioner who is fully committed to supporting people with care and support needs to realise their full potential.  You will be joining an integrated multi-disciplinary team which utilises Let’s Talk Together which is our strengths-based approach and as such you will be expected to employ a broad range of interventions such as reablement, major and minor adaptations, equipment and other solutions to support people to remain independent at home.

South Tyneside Council is committed to partnership working and we are keen to lead the way in terms of innovation and new ways of working that are person centred and enables residents to access the right support at the right time with a focus on preventing and reducing need.

If you are committed to adults having choice and control over their support, maximising opportunities for independence and well-being and working in partnership, then this is the job for you.
