This is an exciting and varied role focusing on supporting young people who are leaving the care of Darlington Borough Council to develop the skills and networks required to fulfill their own aspirations, develop resilience and move forward into adulthood.
There is a high level of direct work with young people involved, alongside the need for excellent organisational, communication and networking skills.
The leaving care team in Darlington have long well established realtionships with partner agencies in borough such as colleges, housing and DWP with joint working protocols in place to support our young people.
You will have the benefit from working in a small, committed team with an knowledgeable team manager who will provide regular supervision and support.
