We are looking for a Team Leader who is highly organised and self-motivated with a professional manner and the effective communication skills to work in the Revenues and Benefits Service as part of the Benefits Team.
 
You will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a modern, customer focussed council tax support and housing benefit service.  You must understand our customers, who they are and what they need and think.
 
You will be required to supervise staff within your team and allocate and prioritise the work of the team on a day to day basis.You will properly administer council tax support and housing benefit appeals in accordance withlegislative provisions, including representing the Council at appeal hearings.
 
You will also maintain an awareness of trends and developments that affect the work of the team.  To constantly challenge the way we do things with personal and team experience of best practice.
 
Part IRRV Professional qualification and/or significant experience of Housing Benefit/Council Tax Support is essential together with a detailed understanding of Benefits procedures and legislation.
