The Head of Strategic Housing and Assets is a new position which will bring together a number of key services focussing on Housing Strategy, Regulation and Policy and the Council’s Asset Management functions.
As a key member of the Place Strategy Leadership Team, you will effectively contribute to the Council’s vision and strategic ambitions which include - South Tyneside is a place where residents live in clean, green and connected communities where they feel safe.
Specifically, you will lead on Housing Strategy and Policy, Housing Regulation, Homelessness prevention, Land and Property which includes Asset Compliance and Maintenance, Assets Investment Portfolio, Facilities Management, Building Cleaning and Energy Management. This role will also support the Council’s wider transformation programme particularly the prevention workstream.
