SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
Contract Type:  Fixed term until 4th June 2027 due to SEND funding
Salary Range:  Grade 3, SCP7-8 (£27,274-£27,709 FTE)

Norton Primary Academy are looking for experienced Level 2 / 3 Teaching Assistants to work across all year groups at our Ofsted rated Good academy.  With 290 children on roll at Norton, we are looking for a motivated and child centred individual to join our team.  You will be part of a vibrant, supportive community who are committed to academic excellence and holistic development of every student. 
 
Main duties include:
 
  • Provide small group assistance during lessons, adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and help pupils engage with the curriculum.
  • Provide intimate care for children as required
  • Prepare and adapt learning materials, set up classrooms, and assist with the use of technology and other resources.
  • Support students in developing social skills, encourage positive behaviour, and offer comfort and reassurance when needed.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, carers, and other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to support students effectively.
  • Undertake minor clerical duties, such as photocopying and preparing resources.offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
