We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our Academy Trust in North View Academy, which is a SEN school. We are passionate about improving our school to provide our children with a first-class education. You will perform a key role in supporting children’s learning in all of its aspects.
The successful candidate is required to have a relevant Level 3 Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification as well as experience of working closely or on a one-to-one basis with children with SEMH needs and ASD. The successful candidate should also possess knowledge and understanding of children with Special Educational Needs. They should also be able to support these children in literacy and numeracy and have knowledge and understanding of the assessment processes involving children with special needs.
North View Academy is a specialist primary provision for children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. In September 2015 North View Academy became an ASD designation. As Learning Support Assistant, we would like to appoint someone who:
- Holds a relevant Level 3 Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Is experienced in working with children in Early Years, KS1/KS2 and SEN.
- Can confidently support quality first teaching of children alongside the class teacher.
- Has good numeracy, literacy and communication skills.
- Has a commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of children.
