Our governors are looking to employ and appoint a highly motivated Caretaker to manage the security, safety and cleanliness of our school building. The successful candidate will join our team as soon as possible.
Cambois Primary School is a small, inclusive community school located along the Northumberland coast.
Main duties will include:
- Overseeing health and safety across the school site
- Monitoring and reporting on the general maintenance of the school site
- Liaising with external contractors
- Completing routine maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Opening and locking the building and site
The successful candidate will need to:
- Demonstrate their ability to plan and organise themselves and resources, including effective use of their own time;
- Be resourceful and work with initiative and without constant supervision;
- Be reliable and keep good time;
- Adapt to change by adopting a flexible and cooperative attitude;
- Demonstrate integrity and uphold the school’s values and principles

The contractual hours for this post will be variable between 24 and 30 hours per week (with a maximum of one variation per term).
Pro-rata salary:
For 24 hours - £15,534.95 - £16,558.14
For 30 hours - £19,416.91 - £20,695.78
The initial working hours will be discussed with candidates at interview based on the requirements of the school.
