We're looking for a motivated and resilient individual to join our Stockton Collections team as an Enforcement Agent. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop a specialist career, gain professional qualifications and build valuable skills in negotiation, investigation, customer service and enforcement.
You'll play a vital role in recovering income that helps fund essential local services for residents across Stockton-on-Tees, while working with customers to find realistic solutions and provide support where needed.
What you'll be doing:
Visiting residents and businesses to recover Council Tax, Business Rates, Parking and other outstanding debts.
Negotiating payment arrangements and helping customers understand their options.
Assessing financial circumstances and completing Controlled Goods Agreements where appropriate.
Managing challenging situations professionally and achieving positive outcomes through effective communication and negotiation.
Identifying vulnerable customers and signposting them to support services.
Working closely with colleagues and partner organisations to deliver an effective and customer-focused enforcement service.
Who we're looking for
You may already have enforcement experience, or you could be looking to bring transferable skills from customer service, housing, policing, security, the armed forces, investigations or a similar role.

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
