About the Role
We are seeking a committed and experienced Deputy Children’s Home Manager to support the leadership of our established children’s home at Maple Cottage. The home provides care and support for children and young people, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, supporting staff development, and improving outcomes for the children we support
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Ensuring safe and consistent care is provided for the children
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and supervision to team members
- Promote safeguarding and ensure all policies and procedures are followed
- Monitor and maintain high standards in line with Ofsted and regulatory requirements
- Undertake audits, and quality assurance processes and ensure the home is inspection ready at all times
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a residential children’s home setting
- Previous experience in a senior/supporting leadership role
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and childcare legislation
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 Diploma
- Confidence in leading teams and managing challenging situations
- A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
