Child and Adult Services are looking to recruit a Residential Social Care Officer for one of their children's homes. The aim of the home is to continue to provide outstanding care for children 11-18 years of age, who are looked after by the local authority.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, committed, flexible team players to our established home. Successful applicants will be responsible for the care, support and safeguarding of the children living in the home. The assessed needs of the children will dictate the delivery of the approaches used to provide care, alongside the wealth of experiences we offer in line with our statement of purpose and ethos.

A pre-requisite of this post is that applicants must drive and have use of a suitable vehicle for the transportation of children.

RSCOs will provide a safe and secure environment, whilst stimulating young people to try new experiences and learn from participation in these with the staff team. Hobbies and interests in areas where sharing activities will be achievable and available, such as the outdoors, camping, surfing, sailing, sport, farming, gardening, or building, will be advantageous.

Experience of working with children and adolescents, residential work, the inspection framework, and great flexibility will also be an advantage.

Applicants should possess or be working towards the level 3 qualification in working with children and young people, or an equivalent qualification.
