We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Accommodation Officer to join us to deliver a customer focused intensive housing management service.

You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive service to our customers in our temporary accommodation in locations across Northumberland. You will be supporting residents directly, working alongside colleagues in our Homelessness and Housing Options service, assisting service users move into their own permanent accommodation. You role will involve signposting residents to internal and external agencies as required.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a successful track record in a similar housing role within a fast paced environment and will possess excellent administration and IT skills. You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Housing Legislation, practical housing experience as well as an understanding of Welfare Benefits.

You will be a confident communicator, able to handle conflict and difficult conversations professionally in emotionally charged situations. You will be well organised with excellent written and verbal skills.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you have a full driving licence.
