Business Durham is seeking an experienced Monitoring Officer to provide financial and monitoring support for the County Durham Growth Fund. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Fund Programme, the County Durham Growth Fund is a new grant programme for SMEs in County Durham for capital investment projects to stimulate and enable sustainable business growth.
This exciting new project is being delivered by Business Durham in partnership with BE Group.
The role of the post will be to set up and maintain monitoring and financial record-keeping systems for the County Durham Growth Fund., contributing to the efficient and effective management of the project. Key elements of the role will involve coordinating information supplied by the delivery partner, BE Group, preparing quarterly grant claims, and leading on compliance with European funding requirements.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of administration and financial systems, together with proven planning and organisational skills. Ideally candidates will also have experience of establishing monitoring and record-keeping systems, and preparing European grant claims or claims for similar grant-funding regimes. Awareness of the business support landscape in the North East LEP area would also be an advantage.
