Prince Bishops Primary School are looking to appoint a part time experienced, dedicated and reliable catering assistant to join our friendly and committed staff.

Required from 23rd April 2019.

As a catering assistant at Prince Bishops you will make a difference in our school community on a daily basis by contributing to the provision of a high-quality school meals service.

The successful candidate will:
• Assist the catering manager in the preparation and cooking of food in line with school requirements and legislation.
• Deputise for the catering manager in their absence.
• Prepare service areas and other equipment for the efficient and effective service of meals.
• Serve food paying particular attention to portion control and special diets.
• Maintain high standards of personal / kitchen hygiene, food safety and health & safety.
• Support the ethos of the school.
• Enjoy working as part of a team, be adaptable and supportive of colleagues.
• Have excellent organisation and communication skills

This is a permanent part-time position, working 16 hours per week (10am to 1.30pm Monday & Wednesday and 10:30 to 1.30pm Tuesday, Thursday & Friday).

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
