Due to the promotion of the current post holder the children, staff and governors of Bedlington Station Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated teacher to join our Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for assessment and standards from September 2019.

Bedlington Station is a happy school where the children enjoy their learning and are proud of their achievements. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to the role and who has high expectations of pupils, can work effectively as part of a team and has led a key aspect or subject across the primary age phase.

The successful candidate will:
• Be an outstanding and experienced teacher (particularly at Key Stage 2), who is highly motivated with in depth knowledge and experience of the primary curriculum.
• Have an imaginative approach to teaching and be able to inspire, motivate and challenge pupils and staff.
• Understand the different layers of assessment and how they benefit the education of children.
• Be able to demonstrate whole school leadership and development in a key area or subject.
• Be able to work well within a team and demonstrate a good sense of humour.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including diplomacy, resilience and strategic thinking.
