Position: Apprentice Caretaker
Salary: Will be in line with the National Minimum Wage for their age & apprentice experience
Contract: Fixed term for 1 year or when qualification is completed
Post Starting: April 2020
Governors of the Academy are seeking to appoint a reliable and motivated young person, to work in a supported learning environment to develop the skills and knowledge that will assist the apprentice to complete their qualification in a level 3 Apprenticeship.
The Apprentice will report to the Site Supervisor and the Business Manager.
Day release will be given so the post holder can attend Sunderland College.
Principal Responsibilities
You will be required to assist with a range of duties associated with being a caretaker.
This includes: -
• The high standards of maintenance of our premises and grounds. Ensuring areas onsite are safe and clean for pupils, staff, visitors and other users of the site facilities.
• The safe use and application of cleaning chemicals, DIY tools and machinery.
• To assist the caretaker in prioritising work logged on the online Caretaker Reporting tool.
• To assist in the porterage of items around the site.
• To take part in meetings and training as requested by the Site Supervisor.
