HYDRO POOL ‘LIFEGUARD’ (RE-ADVERTISED)
GRADE 1 SCP 4 FULL TIME PERMANENT (Term Time 39 weeks per annum)
32.5 hours per week

Sunningdale is an ‘outstanding’ special school for pupils aged 2-11 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs.

The Governing Body of Sunningdale School is seeking to appoint a committed, dynamic and experienced ‘Lifeguard’ for our Hydro Pool Provision with the essential skill base to undertake the designated roles and responsibilities within the job description.

The successful candidate will be required to-
• Work alongside the class staff to support pupil access to the Hydro Pool.
• Oversee safety within the Hydro Pool area.
• Maintain the ‘Pool area’ (hygiene/water checks).
• Order resources and liaise with teacher in charge/Site Supervisor.

Hydro Therapy is an integral and busy part of the school’s holistic curriculum. It will be the post holder’s responsibility therefore to support the provision of a quality service for all users including overseeing all health and safety requirements.

Applicants must hold a current relevant National Pool Lifeguard qualification, have experience of working with children, preferably those with a special educational need and have a commitment to personal professional development.
