An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Business Partner (PBP) to join County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS). As a People Business Partner within the service you will play an important role in creating an inspiring culture for our colleagues, driving engagement and high performance as well as developing our talent, succession and resource planning. Working a long side, the People Business Partner’s and Organisational Development Business Partner to ensure consistency and innovation across the service the successful candidate will be working closely with key areas of the service to implement the People Strategy.

The successful candidate will have excellent working knowledge of employment legislation, will have the skills and ability to influence others, challenge with confidence and be a strategic thinker. Previous experience of all aspects of employee relations, change management, developing organisational culture as well as delivering successful OD projects are essential. You will be data driven with a strength in using people analytics to identify trends to inform and influence decision making.

This is a field-based role and will require the postholder to travel within their geographical region with travel to headquarters and any other locations to attend meetings when required.

In return the post offers 26 days annual leave (pro rata) rising to 31 days after 5 years, flexible working hours, provision of uniform, sports facilities, car parking and a pension scheme. We are currently recruiting a part time (job share) role.
