Post title: DurhamEnable Manager – full time – temporary until 31 December 2023

Job Location: You will be based in a locality within County Durham. However, you may be required to work at any Durham County Council location, according to the needs of the service and your work will involve visiting various other settings in the county and surrounding travel to work area.

We would like to announce an exciting new Supported Employment Service coming to County Durham - DurhamEnable. The service will support individuals with disabilities and mental ill health progress into and remain in paid employment. We are seeking to appoint a Manager who will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of the DurhamEnable programme; ensuring targets are met. The success of this role will require the ability to build highly effective working relationships with employers, colleagues across Durham County Council and other external partners in order to promote the importance of sustainable employment for people with disabilities and/or mental health needs.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is passionate about improving inclusion in the workplace, they will have a strong track record of leading teams to achieve results, extensive project management experience and a strong track record of partnership working and networking.

Required qualifications: Educated to Degree Level or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
