We are looking to recruit two Assistant Team Managers who have enthusiasm, drive and commitment and who want to focus on great practice that makes a real and positive difference. This along with an ability to form positive and sustainable relationships with children, young people, their families and carers is essential in ensuring a high quality and consistent service is achieved that will promote and support positive life chances for all children and young people in our care and care leavers.

The post holder will be responsible for a small caseload and will provide reflective supervision, support and modeling for social workers. The post holder will have a lead role in mentoring and developing newly qualified social workers as part of the Local Authority ASYE programme. The post holder will be expected to deputise in the team manager’s absence and support the team manager in attending and chairing meetings.

You should possess a recognised Social Work qualification that permits registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). It is desirable that you have obtained a Post Qualifying Award and/or Practice Teachers/Educators Award.

We are looking for reflective practitioners who are committed to continuous improvement, who have a proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with children, families and stakeholders. You must have good communication & assessment skills, be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
