Further Information
Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. As an authority we want to make Hartlepool the best it possibly can be and want dedicated, driven and committed staff to help us achieve that.

The Routes to Work project is a jointly funded pilot initiative involving the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support those people most distant from the labour market to prepare for and access work.

The pilot initiative will support people aged 30 and over facing the greatest difficulties in accessing jobs. This includes people who have been out of work for a long period, those who face physical and mental health challenges. The project provides an exciting opportunity to test new ways of collaborative working at a local level that takes a person centered and responsive approach to address the multiple barriers that some people face when trying to access work.

Building on the strengths of a forward thinking team, we are now seeking to appoint a Routes to Work Key Workers on a fixed term contract initially until 31st March 2022.

It is essential that the successful candidate will have experience in delivering Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to support working aged adults into Education, Employment or Training. The candidates must possess good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to organise their own workload and work under pressure.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Check.

For further information please contact Olwen Maddison, Routes to Work Project Coordinator on 01429 284145.
