Fixed Term to start 1 September 2021 – 31 August 2022
The Head Teacher and Governors of Washingwell Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years Unit from 6 September 2021. The position is a fixed term, one-year contract until the 31 August 2022.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who:
has an outstanding record of working well within a team demonstrating a positive attitude, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment.
has experience of working with children in a primary school setting, specifically within the Early Years sector
holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant / NVQ Qualification as a minimum essential requirement.
The successful candidate would be expected to:
establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
contribute to the planning, preparation and resources of learning activities
have a full working knowledge and experience of the Early Years curriculum, both indoors and out
be able to carry out observational assessments and understand the importance of feedback in promoting progress for all learners
display excellent communication skills
