Your normal place of work will be at a designated One Point Hub, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

We are seeking to appoint a full time Wellbeing for Life Worker who will support children aged 5-13 and their families to improve their wellbeing through resilience building programmes.

A ‘Wellbeing for Life’ approach is being developed by Public Health in partnership with a range of services and organisations in County Durham. It is an innovative approach that goes beyond looking at single-issue healthy lifestyle services and a focus on illness, and instead aims to take a whole-person and community asset approach to improving health.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of key health and social issues that impact on families and children and have experience delivering planned interventions.

Required qualifications: Level 3 qualification in a relevant health and/or children’s services field and evidence of continuous professional development.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
