Further Information
Due to the current post holder's retirement we are recruiting to the role of Principal Social Worker for Adults in Redcar and Cleveland Adult Social Care.

Would you like to be part of a dedicated team committed to making a difference to people’s lives to enjoy a better future?

Do you want to be part of an organisation that really cares about the people it supports and one that also cares about its staff?

This is a superb opportunity to assume a senior leadership role where you will be supported to deliver real practice improvements across Adult Social Care.

Our Vision is: 'We will help you live safe and well, in the place you call home, with the people and things you love, connected to your community, doing the things that matter to you'; and our ambition is that every adult lives a good quality life, as they would choose to, and as independently as possible.

We are looking for an experienced, registered social worker who can demonstrate leadership, is passionate about the delivery of high-quality social work and strives for continuous professional development in all areas of Adult Social Care practice.

You will be a creative problem solver, a strategic thinker, and self-motivated with an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

You will drive social care practice across the workforce, providing constructive challenge where appropriate, and enabling practitioners and managers to reflect and learn within a supportive environment.

You will lead on developing a culture of co-operation and co-production, which respects and nurtures the strengths of adults and unpaid carers and enables them to fulfil their potential.

In return for what you can offer to the people of Redcar and Cleveland and the Council, we will welcome you with a genuine sense of teamwork, informal support and personal development.

You will enjoy working within a supportive, enthusiastic, and committed team of experienced professionals, and find that we work hard together to get the job done, investing courageously, and ensuring talented individuals have the ability to progress and make an impact both internally and externally.

Our workforce is our greatest asset, and to show we mean this we offer many benefits including free parking, generous holiday entitlement, and flexible hybrid working that meets your needs, as well as those of the people we support.

If you are highly motivated and committed to improving the lives of adults with care and support needs in Redcar and Cleveland, then we would love to hear from you.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Victoria Wilson, Assistant Director for Adult Social Care (Service Development and Integration), on 01642 444322 or email victoria.wilson@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk
