You will be working as a Gas Plumber undertaking various types of gas work and plumbing installation and repair work to all property types within the Council’s property portfolio and as required in line with business need. You will comply with gas safety and Council standards of work performance ensuring implementation and compliance within gas policies and procedures. You will undertake minor cross trade work to support the service ‘one front door approach’, be proactive in all aspects of health and safety, and work collaboratively with the team to deliver positive outcomes for our customers. A bit about Gateshead Council… We’re responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of over 18,000 council owned homes and various other office and public building across the borough which stretches from Bill Quay to Chopwell. In addition to this, the Council delivers a range of investment works including major, cyclical, and planned works.
