We are looking for highly motivated individuals to take on the role of a Neighbourhood Enforcement Warden. You will be required to improve neighbourhoods for all stakeholders through the delivery of an anti-social behaviour and environmental enforcement function of prevention, education and enforcement.

On a daily basis you will be required to patrol areas as directed, you will need to have the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner, stay calm under pressure, have good communication skills and be able to interpret and enforce legislation where and when necessary.

The role will include the requirement to issue fixed penalty notices for offences relating to, littering, waste management and breaches made under the City Wide Public Spaces Protection Order and to assist in the preparation of legal proceeding cases as instructed.

We offer 26 days annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays rising to 31 days after 5 years. You must hold, or be working towards obtaining a full valid UK driving licence and there will be a requirement to work flexibly, where you will be required to deal with all topics of the division’s workload and operational needs.  

Neighbourhood Enforcement Wardens work on an alternating shift pattern of day shift 07.30 - 15.30 or late shift 12.00 - 20:00 working 5 days over 7, which will include some weekends.

Previous experience, while desirable, is not essential as full training will be given. Interviews for the above posts is scheduled for week commencing 11 December 2023.
