*This post attracts a Living Wage supplement. In addition to the hourly rate, this post will receive the Living Wage supplement to bring the hourly rate up to a minimum of £10.90 an hour.*

8.75 hours per week (1.75 hours per day), 11.30am-1.15pm, term time only plus 1 training day.

To start as soon as possible after the closing date. The post will run until the 28 March 2024 in the first instance, with a possible extension to July 2024)

The Governors are seeking to appoint a reliable and self-motivated Midday Supervisory Assistant. If you can work as part of a supportive and hardworking team, then this could be the opportunity that you are looking for to gain experience in a vibrant and forward-thinking school

The ability to work as part of the team is essential. Positive and supportive relationships with staff and children will help make this challenging post rewarding and enjoyable.

Any relevant child care qualifications or first aid training would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities:
• Ensuring children are safely supervised at all times.
• Leading children in play in the playground and in classrooms during indoor lunchtimes.
• Communicating effectively with children.
• Supporting with the serving of dinners including encouraging children to eat and helping with use of cutlery.
• Potentially supervising and playing with children who have SEND in small group or 1 to 1.
• Liaising with class teachers and Midday Supervisor to share any welfare issues
• Recording incidents accurately
