A vacancy has arisen within Business Services for an administrative support working 37 hours per week.  This post is permanent. 

Your normal place of work will be Support and Recovery, Waldridge Road, Chester-Le-Street, DH2 3AA you may be required to work at any council workplace within County Durham.



WHAT IS INVOLVED?
The post-holder will undertake a variety of administrative and clerical duties supporting the Support and Recovery Service.

Listed below are the responsibilities this role will be primary responsible for:
  • To provide administrative support to the Support and Recovery service Teams, including implementation and maintenance of administration and communication systems and the use of various IT packages;
  • To monitor the quality of service delivery and report the performance regularly to the Area Managers;
  • To support the service with the arrangement of courses including arranging venues, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely manner for the appropriate members of the team etc.
  • To support the undertaking of prescribed audits to ensure full compliance by the service of relevant functions, such as finance, health and safety etc.
  • To support the function of the Support and Recovery Services, be pro-active and supportive in assisting the wider staff team undertake their roles through robust administrative and clerical support including diary support, ensuring awareness of tasks required etc.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
Applicants should hold a recognised qualification in Business Administration at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

The role within support and recovery is very fast paced and good organisational skills are essential. 

Due to the nature of the post you will be subjected to difficult conversations around support/mental health issues with service users and health professionals.

HYBRID WORKING
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
