Can you work in a fast-paced environment as part of a high performing team?  This is an exciting opportunity to take on an interesting and varied role.

We are looking for a CIPD qualified and experienced HR Advisor to join our team.  You will be responsible for a service/group of services, providing advice and guidance to line managers, Heads of Service/Directors, Head Teachers, and Governors, on disciplinary and grievance matters, recruitment and selection, performance management, organisational change, and workforce planning.

You will also be involved in reviewing and implementing HR policies, representing the HR Service on cross service project groups, and developing and delivering training to managers.

Your office base will be the Town Hall, South Shields but we believe that work is what you do, not where you do it; we support hybrid working from home as well as working in other locations in the borough as necessary to meet the needs of the employee and the Council.  We also offer flexible working hours which means that, subject to the needs of the service and agreement with your line manager, you can work outside of normal office hours.

We offer an excellent benefits package and further information is available here - www.southtyneside.gov.uk/workinghere

If you would like to discuss this role further, please contact Suzanne Bell, HR Advisory Team Manager on (0191) 424 6183 or Chris Manns, People Services Strategic Manager on (0191) 424 6162.

Please note that if you apply for this role, all communication regarding your application will be sent to the email address that you have registered with North East Jobs, please ensure you check your junk mail.
