Caretaker position for a skilled, hard-working and flexible person, required as soon as possible.

The person appointed will have total commitment towards maintaining a clean, safe and secure environment.

Duties will include: 
  • Opening and closing the building each day and carrying out security checks. 
  • Maintenance of the premises and grounds to a high standard, including a range of daily cleaning duties, minor repairs and keeping outdoor areas tidy and safe. 
  • Ensuring the building meets all statutory regulations related to health and safety, fire safety, etc, including making regular checks, keeping records and carrying out practical tasks. 
  • Liaising with the Council, and other contractors, to ensure maintenance & repairs are addressed, and to make sure that heating, plumbing, electrical and lighting systems are functioning properly. 
 
The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team, whilst also being able to work on their own initiative in identifying jobs that require attention day to day, & to prioritise their workload. 

This post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
