Salary Range: £23,500-£23,893 pro-rata (Actual £19440)
Term time only - 35 hours per week

Required for 1st September 2024

The Headteacher and Governors of Shiney Row Primary School are seeking to appoint a passionate, committed and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our successful and dedicated staff team.

The role will be predominately based in EYFS but will contain other responsibilities.

The successful candidate will actively endorse and deliver the ethos of our school, ‘We inspire, we challenge, we care’, whilst investing in our core values: Respect, Responsibility, Collaboration, Perseverance and Success.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside dedicated staff, gain support from a highly effective leadership team and work with our amazing children.

Applications are welcome from candidates who are able to demonstrate the following:
• An ability to support the aims and ethos of our school.
• A passion for supporting young children in an Early Years setting.
• High expectations for all children.
• A desire to develop and learn with and from other skilled and experienced staff.
• Hold a Level 3, or equivalent, qualification.
• Be able to support and engage children with SEND needs in their daily learning using a wide variety of resources and teaching tools.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) to a good standard.
• A strong team player.

Visits to the school are essential and should be arranged through recruitment@shineyrow.org.uk

The school is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. As part of our due diligence and to comply with our obligations in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online search of publicly available information will be undertaken for all shortlisted candidates. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants will be subject to appropriate background checks and vetting including an enhanced DBS check and checks against the children’s barred list.

Completed application forms should be returned directly to the school or emailed to recruitment@shineyrow.org.uk
