Required from 2nd June 2014 until 31st May 2015

Hours of work will be 11.45am-1.15pm each day with an extra 2.5 hours to be used flexibly to meet the school’s needs.

The Governors of this successful and welcoming school seek to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Play Leader.

The successful applicant will:
• Lead, support and supervise the promotion of positive play at lunchtime.
• Lead on the setting up and organisation of equipment and resources for the children to use during playtime.
• Organise and carry out the replenishment of resources through securing funding from internal or external sources
• Purchasing resources as required
• Collecting resources (eg by contacting supermarkets for large boxes; visiting shops for offcut materials etc)
• Organise and support pupil Play Leaders with their role
• Supervise pupils in designated areas of the school (including playground or external spaces) during the lunchtime break
• Support the development of the school’s Behaviour Policy and ensure that it is implemented effectively.
• Attend to the health, welfare and safety of the children during lunchtime adhering to the school Health and Safety policy and procedures at all times

Own transport is essential to fulfil this role.

Essential Qualifications: Evidence of basic level of literacy and numeracy skills.
