Cleveland Fire Brigade is an intelligence led organisation which provides a first class fire and rescue service to the Teesside area. The Brigade’s external operating environment is of a challenging, complex and unique risk profile and thus the provision of a first class information and intelligence function is essential for the Brigade to maintain its excellent services. The Risk and Performance Unit will play a key role in supporting the Brigade in the implementation of its ambitious Community Integrated Risk Management Plan 2014-18 and the achievement of the Brigade’s vision and goals.

Following a recent organisational review we are looking to recruit two Intelligence Assistant posts (1 Full Time and 1 Part Time 18.5 hours per week) into the Brigade’s Risk and Performance Unit based in the Corporate Services Directorate.

This role will support the provision of high quality intelligence to the organisations operational services and to its key partners to support its strategic and operational decision making at all levels. The post will ensure that information produced has been quality assured to ensure its accuracy and that it is presented in a professional and effective format.

Candidates must be methodical in their approach to work and be able to work as part of a team in a high pressurised environment. In addition candidates must be highly numerate with excellent IT skills in particular in the use of Excel.
