Required for 5th September 2017 a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant whose main purpose in school is to provide a general support service managing student behaviour over the lunchtime period. This will involve amongst other things:

• Controlling lunch queues
• Supervise students eating their lunch
• Manage the behaviour of students both inside and outside the school building
• Discipline students who break the behaviour rules
• Reward students for positive behaviour
• Deal with incidents in the quad or dining hall appropriately

You will be joining a team that delivers a high quality service to our students.

We are seeking candidates with a good all round education who like young people and want to work with them. Although you would be expected to have a thorough understanding of young people you do not necessarily need to have worked in schools previously. Training will be given.

Essential Qualifications: Basic literacy and numeracy skills

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.

Please note that the Childcare Disqualifications Regulations 2009 apply to this position and therefore you are required to complete the “disqualification by association” declaration form. Should you be successful in your application for this post, your appointment can not be progressed without this declaration.
