Full Time Temporary - Specialist Lead Professional required until 9th October 2018 or the day before the substantive postholder returns.

Grade 9 £26,822 - £30,153

We are looking to appoint a Specialist Lead Professionals to cover maternity Leave in Families First Bishop Auckland. The post will start in September 2017 to cover for one year. Have you the necessary drive and enthusiasm for working in a multi skilled integrated team to achieve best outcomes for children and their families? This is an exciting opportunity to join Durham Children’s and Adult Services as we move from a traditional Assessment and Intervention service to a new multi-skilled social work led integrated service, known as Families First.

The post holder will be based in a multi skilled, social work led, integrated team working with families who have experienced a range of factors, including parental substance misuse, domestic abuse, poor parental mental health, crime and/or anti-social behaviour and worklessness.

The Specialist Lead Professional, may have a background in a specialist area to complement the staff team and will be responsible for a caseload of families who have multiple and complex needs at level 3 on Durham’s continuum of need.

Required Qualifications: Professional qualification in a relevant field such as Health, Social Care, Education, Housing etc. (BA Hons SW, Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification, i.e. CQSW, CSS or Dip SW with GSCC registration, RN or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD), Qualified Teacher Status, or equivalent) OR Degree Qualification in relevant subject
