The post is based at the Oaks Secondary School which is a generic special school for pupils who have moderate, severe, or profound and multiple learning difficulties or Autism Spectrum Conditions. The school has received an “outstanding” grading from Ofsted in its last three inspections.
The Oaks is a federated school and the successful applicant may be required to work at other schools in the federation.

The Governors wish to appoint an Enhanced teaching assistant to work within the PE department. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidates who hold a recognised qualification as a Nursery Nurse/ Classroom Assistant to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent: NNEB, CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing, BTEC Diploma in Nursery Nursing. It is essential that the successful applicant will be able to successfully demonstrate that they have supported PE teaching in a school setting. Possession of PE qualifications and/or training is desirable. Experience of carrying out educational and social programmes with individuals or groups of young people with SEN is desirable.
