Further Information
Northumberland County Council is looking to recruit a Regeneration Funding Investment Officer. This is a new post within the recently established Economy and Regeneration Service, which has responsibility for the co-ordination and driving forward of the delivery of regeneration and economic growth projects within the County.
You will work as part of a team responsible for the coordination and development of the Regeneration Investment Project Pipeline, which will include the provision of funding advice and bid development support.
The main responsibilities include:
Development and updating of a new electronic grants register
Development and updating of a Regeneration External Funding Database
Working with external and internal services to update the Regeneration Investment Pipeline
Providing the secretariat function for the Regeneration Investment Group and Network for External Funding
Researching Grants Databases to provide funding advice
Assisting with the development of funding bids
You will have an NVQ level 4 (or equivalent) excellent IT skills including extensive experience in the development and use of spreadsheets and databases. You will have experience of working in an external funding environment including the provision of funding advice and bid development. You will possess excellent organisational skills, and be able to develop strong working relationships with both your team and a wider network of partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic person to develop their knowledge of external funding and become involved in an exciting and expanding area of work within the Council. The post is offered on a 3 year fixed term basis.
