Northumberland County Council is looking to recruit a Regeneration Funding Investment Officer. This is a new post within the recently established Economy and Regeneration Service, which has responsibility for the co-ordination and driving forward of the delivery of regeneration and economic growth projects within the County.
You will work as part of a team responsible for the coordination and development of the Regeneration Investment Project Pipeline, which will include the provision of funding advice and bid development support.
The main responsibilities include:
-Development and updating of a new electronic grants register and funding database
-Working with external and internal services to update the Regeneration Investment Pipeline
-Providing the secretariat function for the Regeneration Investment Group and Network for External Funding
-Researching Grants Databases to provide funding advice
-Assisting with the development of funding bids
You will have an NVQ level 4 (or equivalent) excellent IT skills including experience in the development and use of spreadsheets and simple databases. You will have experience of working in an external funding/regeneration environment including the provision of funding advice and bid development. You will possess excellent organisational skills, and be able to develop strong working relationships with both your team and a wider network of partners.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic person to develop their knowledge of external funding and become involved in an exciting and expanding area of work within the Council. The post is offered on a 3 year fixed term basis.
