Required from January 2020 or as soon as possible, to work term time plus 2 additional weeks. The post may be extended beyond August 2020 subject to review and satisfactory probationary period, depending on SEND funding.
The Governing Body of this popular primary school seek to appoint excellent, enthusiastic, creative and motivated Teaching Assistants to support our new SEND provision. More information can be found at www.climb-project.com.
The successful applicants will have a keen interest in predominantly working with children with SEND, mainly on a small group basis in a mainstream classroom or within a specialist setting. You will need to be wholly committed to becoming an integral member of our hard-working and dedicated team and will:
• Have high expectations and a strong commitment to raising standards for children with SEND
• Make learning exciting, memorable and enjoyable
• Have experience and a keen interest in supporting SEND pupils, including those with complex needs
• Support pupils who display complex and challenging behaviour
• Be able to fulfil requirement of Durham County Council’s Grade 3 TA Job Description
