Aycliffe Secure Centre cares for young people who are sentenced, remanded or cared for under a secure accommodation order as directed by the courts. The Role:
Responsibilities include working to the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, implementing high quality care for young people with complex needs. The post holder will provide leadership to the team, alongside management tasks of supervision, appraisal, and timetabling.

Additionally, the post has a responsibility to oversee the centre’s security requirements and central Hub processes, as well as providing advice to senior management on such issues.

There is also a requirement to develop and maintain with the support of colleagues all of the centre policies and procedures.

Useful information:
You will work an average of 37 hours per week, with some normal office hours/working from home alongside a designated shift pattern between 9.00pm – 7.30am. There is also a requirement work some bank holidays, and on a weekend to provide management cover within the centre.
