Social Work Assistant (Review Officer) full time (37 hours) -
Temporary for 6 months

Job Location: the post will be located within one of the Learning Disabilities Teams, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

Salary: £20,092 - £22,183/ £21,748 - £24,491 p.a.
i.e. Grade 5 pre-progression / Grade 6 post-progression


We are looking to appoint a temporary Social Work Assistant, within the Adult Care Learning Disability Integrated Team.

The successful candidate’s role will primarily be reviewing assessed needs of service users.

They should have a good understanding of key policy drivers and issues affecting the Team’s service user groups and their carers, and be able to work with partner agencies, providers, and other professionals, in order to ensure that needs are assessed and met in an appropriate and timely manner.


Required qualifications: 5 GCSEs (A-C grades) or equivalent relevant qualification

**Covid-19 Vaccination
This role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination, unless exemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses. Extending the policy to cover booster doses would require amending the regulations and be subject to parliamentary approval.
